Warsaw Chopin Airport (Polish: Lotnisko Chopina w Warszawie), also known as Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport or just Chopin Airport is an international airport located in the Włochy district of Warsaw in Poland. The airport is located 6.2 miles/10 km south-west of the Warsaw City Center in Poland. The nearest alternative airport is Warsaw-Modlin Mazovia Airport (WMI), located 26.6 miles/38 km from Warsaw Chopin Airport. The capital city of Poland is Warsaw.
Warsaw Chopin Airport is Poland’s largest and busiest airport and handles just under 40% of the country’s air passenger traffic. In 2019, the airport served 18,860,000 passengers. Warsaw Chopin Airport carries the international airport code of WAW (IATA) and EPWA (ICAO). The airport sits in an elevated position at 361 ft./110 meters above sea level at 52°09′57″ N and 20°58′02″ E.

Terminal Information
Warsaw Chopin Airport operates two runways. The two intersecting runways are Runway 11/29, which is 9,186 ft./2,800 meters long and Runway 15/33, which is 12,106 ft./3,690 meters long.
The airport serves just one integrated terminal called Terminal A. Until 2010, there were two terminals named Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. However, these are now designated as Terminal A that is divided into five check-in areas (A, B, C, D, and E) in two main halls. There are 45 passenger gates, 27 of which are equipped with jetways.

Taxis are available outside the arrivals hall, at the first level. A taxi fare from the Warsaw Airport to downtown Warsaw costs approximately 40 PLN.
